New meeting place discussion

There's a big Pizza place on 9th and Judah that might work. It's
right on the N Judah line and there's plenty of free street parking.
It's also in a nice neighborhood.

Additional factors regarding Cybelle's:
Would they keep tables available for us monthly?
Would they require a minimum order from us?
Do they have TV or music on and, if so, would they turn it off for us?
Is it accessible to public transportation and, if so, what lines are nearby?

I spoke with the manager (Timmy) and he said they would be happy to
reserve 2nd saturday afternoons for us. They have a private balcony
level that we can use.

No, but there is a 18% gratuity added to any orders for large parties.

He said that no music or TVs will be on in the room.

It's on the same street as the N Judah Muni line.

Cybelle's is not particularly good, but it's a heck of a lot better than
Round Table. (Some people rather like Cybelle's; I find their sauce is
too sweet.)

Steve says they have a back room we can reserve, so I'm all for it. As he
pointed out, they are *right* on the N-Judah line; it goes right past the
front door, and two stops are in less than a block. The 44-O'Shaughnessy
bus also runs right past Cybelle's Front Room.

My thinking is that it's no farther from downtown than RTP, in fact a
little closer, and transit from downtown is faster via streetcar than by
bus. For folks coming from the Richmond, it's obviously less convenient,
but driving is relatively easy, and the 28, 29, 33, and 44 buses all come
to approximately the right neighborhood.

After our meetings I usually take the Golden Gate Bus home to Marin.
I was able to get it from RTP (it runs along Geary) and I would from
Village Pizzeria (it runs up Van Ness). As far as I can tell, I couldn't
get it from Cybelle's.

I also vote for Cybelle's, and it has nothing to do with the fact that
I live 2 blocks away. As Chris pointed out, the Sunset is more
accessible due to the streetcars, a private room is a key selling
point, and pizza requires far less commitment than any other
restaurant food.
