The Saturday 9/25 Chronicle had a front page story about Heart Art not being accessible to handicapped people. Richard Skaff the former head of the Mayor's Office on Disability said The City of SF showed a lack of interest in civil rights for handicapped poeple based on state and federal law.
I wrote an LTE disputing the statements by Richard Skaff and how the ADA created more problems than any it solved.
Congratulations, great letter. I'm curious by the way -- you wrote that, "A study has shown the cost in retrofitting and lawyers' fees since ADA was enacted is enough to match all the jobs offshored to India and China." Do you know which study this was?

I saw the study mentioned in a Lew Rockwell column. I would have to try to find the columnist who reported the study. I don't rmember which one off hand.

I believe this Lew Rockwell columnist - Greg Perry reported the
study. If not he may know of it. He is handicapped and has had
several columns that are anti-ADA.
