Yours In Test Taking To Show How Much of A Libertarian You
Really Are???

Well, I especially like these tests because they show how varied
our secondary affinities can be even while scoring as primarily
Libertarian. I often hear that Libertarians are supposed to be to
Republicans what Greens are to Democrats -- they would otherwise
have an affinity with the respective major party, but just aren't
happy with the direction the major party is going. That is,
popular belief would give Libertarians something like this
affinity ranking (and reverse for Greens):

1. Libertarian
2. Republican
3. Democrat
4. Green

However, my own ranking puts Democrats above Republicans in
general (though not in specific cases such as DePalma vs. Pelosi),
while yours seems to put Republicans above Democrats (though for
both of us, both major parties scored less than 50% on both
tests!). I'd probably self-describe this way, consistent with the
SelectSmart test:

1. Libertarian
2. Green
3. Democrat
4. Republican

It's also an interesting anomoly that, while the SelectSmart test
put Green near the top for both of us, the Matchmaker test put
Green near the *bottom* for both of us.

Cheers,
Justin

Dear Justin;

The differences in how the Greens came out is most likely due to anomalies in how Green viewpoints were weighted by the writers of the tests.

Otherwise, it's fun to see how you score on political scales designed by someone who apparently doesn't have axes to grind.
