I have more on the Gandhi quote as I was able
to find a source where it most likely came from
and there is more to the quote which is also
interesting This is the full quote with originally
left out words.
From the book:
Gandhi defended that, under certain conditions,
non-cooperation with an evil state was the duty
of a citizen. He went on and argued;
"You assist an administration most effectively by
obeying its orders and decrees. An evil system
never deserves such allegiance. Allegiance to it
means partaking of the evil. A good man will
therefore resist an evil system or administration
with his or her whole soul. Disobedience of the
laws of an evil state is therefore a duty."
M.K. Gandhi Non-Violent Resistance
Shocken Books New York 1961
Of course Gandhi was faced with a situation
where 300 million Indians were being controlled
by 300 members of the Raj.
Whereas in this country we have 300 million being
controlled by 535 legislators and a president and the
non-elected upper Senate of the US Supreme 9.
So when are we going to rise up and throw off the
despotic Raj of fascist socialistic centralized command
and control Obamunists colonialist empire mongers
and take back America for Americans before it totally
andirrevocably morphs into Amerika run from Moskow
on the Hudson?
Rumor has Obama instead of trying to force through
gunlaws to disarm all Americans Obama is trying the
international route with an International Gun Law
Treaty where the Senate could sign off on it with a
simple Democratic majority.
Peaceful non-violent resistance anyone?
