Hi All:
Rob Power has been reporting to us for months that he has been requesting model by-laws from the LPCA so that we could redo our by-laws and make sure that they conform to the requirements of the LPCA. So far he has not been able to get them.
I thought I would also try and sent a request to Beau Cain (see below) a month ago (after our last meeting). I have received no reply of any sort so far. I will be bringing this up at our meeting tomorrow and discussing possible causes. Please remember this when you get fundraising requests from the LPCA.
Best,
Francoise

To: “Beau Cain” bcain@ca.lp.orgDear Beau:
Mike Acree and I told Rob we would share with Rob the excess of the cost of Pride over what Outright collected. Everytime I see Rob, I ask him how much we owe and he says he still hasn’t heard from you (the Treasurer) how much it is. It is over a month and a half since the event. I am sure you are busy, but we would really appreciate knowing how much was collected so we can settle with Rob.
The LPSF wants to revise it’s By-Laws to conform to the LPCA’s. I understand that the LPCA has model By-Laws that we could base ours on. Could you email them to me? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Francoise

To: “Rob Power” robpower@robpower.comHi Rob:
Remember that if we don’t get enough to pay for the event, I’d share the balance with you. So when you think we’ve received all we are going to get, let me know my share and I’ll send you a check.
Thanks for all the work you did setting this up.

Cc: lpsf-activists@yahoogroups.com, lpsf-discuss@yahoogroups.comI almost forgot. Thanks also to Mike, Mike, and Francoise for
contributing half of the $300 it cost to do the SF Pride Parade ($75)
and Festival ($225) this year. I’m currently on the hook for the other
half and am happy to match Mike, Mike, and Francoise with my own $50,
but if others would help us raise another $100 for this important
outreach effort, I’d really appreciate it. You can contribute online by
making a donation on this page (under the green label for “San Francisco
Pride Week Support” about 3/4 down the page):https://co.clickandpledge.com/advanced/default.aspx?wid=21575
Thanks again everyone for your support.

I just wanted to send out a quick thank-you to all those who made this
past weekend’s Outright Libertarians participation in San Francisco LGBT
Pride a success.First, thanks to Curt from the East Bay for helping me set up the booth
on Saturday morning, Guy for volunteering at the booth for a few hours
on Saturday afternoon, and Marcy and Francoise for helping set up the
booth Sunday morning and volunteering at it while I was busy at the
parade. Also, thanks to Mike, Jawj, and Peter for joining me in the
parade. This was the earliest we’ve ever been in the Parade (#70 this
year, #134 last year), and though Comcast strategically skipped over our
contingent (as they did with the Milk and Toklas Democrats, so I guess
it was a Hotel Tax nonpartisan rules thing), we were seen in-person by
more people than ever. It’s a shame there were only four of us, but
several people came up to the booth afterwards asking why we only had
four, and we replied “because you didn’t join us.” All of them
responded that they’d be happy to join us next year, and we got their
contact info, so let’s hope they do.Thanks again for everyone’s help. Now, on to the next thing –
Outright’s team in AIDS Walk on July 19.http://aidswalksanfran2009.kintera.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=302568&lis=1&team=3364838
