Minutes, Meeting of 12 August 2017

Hi everyone,
Please find the minutes from today's meeting below. There are a couple
of details that need to be filled in, namely the wine tasting event that
Starchild brought up-- we couldn't find a date for it yet. Please send
me any corrections!
Nick

month).
323 - 2 = 321 sent out for the latest newsletter.

AI for Nick: Set up a listserv so that it’s a lot easier for Aubrey to
send out the newsletter.

5. Website Report
LPSF calendar is being kept up to date. Nick will be looking into
revamping the website over the next month, and our web hosting is set to
renew in October.

Starchild has an idea to start aggregating information on local
government agencies, keeping track of what they are doing.

Starchild also wants to add social media sharing buttons to the website.

6. Treasurer’s Report
BoA: $2,140.21
Paypal: $856.86
SFCU: $2,500.00
Total: $5,497.07

7. Change To Credit Union
Les and Aubrey went down to SFCU two weeks ago and opened our account
with an initial balance of $2,500. Jajw, our treasurer, has to go down
and fill in the signature card. We will soon be free of the big banks!

8. Upcoming Events - Summer/Fall 2017
Wine and Liberty event coming up in September (will update with more
info)

Aubrey is trying to set up an event next Saturday where Chris Madden
will be performing, just a social gathering.

We will have a table at the gun show in Cow Palace, November 18th-19th.

9. “Just Vote No”
Marcy read in the Marin Independent Journal about all the different tax
measures which are coming up next year. We usually recommend “no”-votes
in general, but other organizations are starting to share the same
message-- “Just vote no on tax measures”. We're happy to hear this but
probably won't take much part in it.

Sorry for the spam, I have some corrections already for my inability to process names. They are updated from the attendance sheet inline below. Sorry!

Hi Nick. Thanks for the timely and accurate minutes--great, as always!
Just a few changes:

1. Here are the details for the wine event hosted by the Alameda County:
Sunday, September 24 1:00-4:00 PM at Westover Vineyards Winery 34329
Palomares Road in Castro Valley (I will be going, so if anyone wants a
ride, just let me know).
2. Actually that's Starchild who will be going to the LNC meeting in
Kansas City to ensure "transparency."
3. On the Mises Celebration event in San Jose, that will be a Sunday and
the date is correct as is.

Thanks!
Aubrey
