May I Please Get Our County's Current Membership List?

Honorable Northern Vice Chair Samuels and Southern Vice Chair Selzer,

I write to you, and copy to other parties who may be interested, in the
hope that you might be able to solve a problem.

Since early December, I have been requesting the current LPCA members
list for Santa Clara County. This request has gone to the Party
Secretary and to the Party Database Manager, and the Party Executive
Director has also been involved. The request has also been made to the
4 Santa Clara County members who serve on the state EC.

To date, Tuesday January 3, I have not received a current list. I have
not even received an explanation from the Secretary or the Database
Manager as to WHY I have not received a current list.

Our county convention, at which we will be electing officers for the
coming year and designating delegates to the February State convention,
is planned to take place in one week's time, on January 10. As it
stands, we will not be able to identify which of our members continue
in good standing as of that date, nor which members are likely to be
accepted as delegates to the state convention. In fact, without the
list of current members, we will be unable to identify which attendees
constitute a legal quorum, and the meeting itself may not be legally
held.

Under state Bylaw 6, Section 1, the Party is required to provide the
County membership list to each County at least monthly, free of charge.

I would appreciate your taking whatever steps are necessary to get the
_current_ membership list, for Santa Clara County, delivered to me
before the critical date of the 10th.

Regards,
Allen Rice
Vice-Chair, Santa Clara County

Dear Allen,

Thank you for your e-mail to LPCA. My efforts to obtain a list for
San Francisco has also fallen on what appears to be deaf ears. I
will continue to try.

Regards,

Marcy

Marcy,

I have reason to believe that State simply needs help in getting the
data together, and is too embarassed to ask for it.

Perhaps my being the "bad guy" again will help to get over that hump.

Allen Rice
