Hi All! Is anyone else going to go to this statist coffee gathering on Saturday morning? I went to the last one he had last month near the beach, and it was a sickening affair, but I would consider going to this one, if other Libertarians will join in. Leno had his staff and disciples there, and they applauded with vigor every tax increase he promoted--from some type of oil tax to increasing the DMV tax (that's a sure bet for SF for the November 2014 election) to chopping Prop 13 back from 66-2/3% to 55%. I had my hand raised during the question-and-answer period but never got called on--had my SB1 text in hand ready with a question about the new definition of blight as "inefficient land use pattern" (he voted yes on that one). He didn't miss calling on the student leader from SF State and the teacher from CCSF--both strongly advocating more money for education. The only thing good he had to say was voicing support for hemp legalization.
The only other interesting moment in the town hall was when a Ron Paul guy made a big stink about the Second Amendment and gun control--and he was shouted down by the disciples.

Anyway please post if you're going to show, and I will come up with something else to press Leno on.

Thanks!
Aubrey

Hi Aubrey,

I am planning to go, and Richard Winger said he might go if he can.

Hi Marcy! OK, I'll be there at the Communist Coffee Klatch on Saturday morning.

See you!
