LPSF-sponsored debate on Adult Use of Marijuana Act?

  If you two can agree on terms for debating the Adult Use of Marijuana Act and wish to hold a debate in SF, I think the LPSF would probably be willing to host/sponsor it, and I'm willing to personally do what I can to help make it happen, including serving as moderator if desired, schedule permitting – I also have some time commitments in the next 10 days. I think a frank and detailed debate of the measure on its merits with audience Q&A could be useful to the community. Let me know if you work something out or I can help.

I know the main library which is only a half block from Civic Center BART at Larkin and Grove streets has the Koret Auditorium which can seat probably a couple hundred and is available for free community events of this sort. Not sure about the availability on short notice. Hastings is just a couple blocks from there and would also be a good central location. Failing those options, there's a less formal space sometimes used by the SF Bay Area Renters Federation that I might be able to get access to, at 1540 Market Street near Van Ness, which could probably hold at least 50.
