LPSF Selected as official opponent of measures A, E ($600M bonds, 100% Affordable/Educator Housing)

Hi all,

We've been selected as the official opponent for Props A and E! Unfortunately that means Starchild's argument against Prop D ("Traffic Congestion Mitigation Tax") was not selected. We should consider refining this one though and submitting it as a paid argument.

THANK YOU again to all who contributed to this, especially Thomas and Starchild-- and even more especially Starchild for being there first thing this morning to help get everything submitted with even *two hours to spare*! :slight_smile:

I'll send update when I have more info for rebuttals, which are due Monday at noon.

Thanks Nick, and everyone who contributed or weighed in with encouragement..

  The Elections Department has sent me the proponent arguments for Prop. A and Prop. E, but unfortunately they are PDF files, and when I tried to forward them to our list, the emails just bounced back with messages that the file sizes are too large.

  I wrote them back and asked them to send me the arguments in plain text.

Hi Nick and All. Glad to see that the LPSF won the lottery for two of the
arguments--Mozel Tov!! Interesting that the Republican Party submitted for
the free arguments this time--they only did paid ones during my tenure.
And I'm surprised I don't see Terence Faulkner's name listed as the
official opponent anywhere, as he never missed submitting for the free
arguments in the past. Now the fun will start as the requests start
rolling in for LPSF presentations opposing the ballot measures for the
various neighborhood groups. Great exposure for the party and ideas.
