Hi Starchild,
You asked for thoughts on Rob Robinson's proposal to swap $800 worth
of LPSF publicity on behalf of the cannabis festival, in exchange for
booth space. I believe it would be difficult to determine what is
$800 worth of publicity, other than LPSF actually spending $800 in ads
and other promotional venues. Or perhaps $800 worth of LPSF members'
time distributing promotional material. I would vote against the
actual expenses (as I explained in a previous e-mail), and do not
visualize LPSF members putting serious time promoting this event.
Obviously, if LPSF members wish to put their own time and treasure
toward the $800, I would say great!
I would prefer to do some tabling promoting the LPSF and our political
candidates at the Embarcadero Farmers Market, rather than at the
cannabis festival. Tabling at the Farmers Market would be free, in
the fresh air and sunshine, and would not nearly choke me to death as
the cannabis festival did last year.
