LPSF 4th Annual Panel Discussion: Sanctuary Cities

Hi All,

Just thought I would post an update of the upcoming LPSF 4th Annual Panel Discussion on June 11.

1. Aubrey, your article about the LPSF Panel Discussion on the LPSF website "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way...." is on page 2 when you Google "sanctuary cities panel discussion." That is HUGE, considering there are a gazillion other sanctuary cities articles and events on Google. It helps that Nick did a super fantastic job updating the website to showcase the event.

2. The first entry Googling the same thing is usually the LPSF ad on Eventbrite.

3. New website featuring the LPSF Panel Discussion: https://sanctuarycitiesevent.wordpress.com/ . This is a free temporary website on Wordpress to promote the event. It contains mention of LPSF's prior panel discussions, ideas to ponder such as pointing out there is a difference between "improper entry" and "unlawful presence," and links to sources of good information on sanctuary cities such as the National Conference of State Legislators website. Please visit and share with your friends.

4. Event Page on Facebook: This Event Page is associated with the existing LPSF Facebook Page, and 3 Facebook ads are running right now out of the Facebook Page (Traffic to website, Event Boost, and Post Boost).

5. Besides the Eventbrite free ad, free Yelp and Heyevent announcements have been posted. A couple of other event sites have acquired the announcement in some way.

6. Partners in liberty (as Aubrey calls them) have sent out the announcement of the event to their email list members (special thanks to Mimi and Winston)

7. Announcement of the event on the Golden Gate Liberty Revolution and LPSF Meetup Group sites are on (thank you Dan and Starchild).

Friends, LPSF has two fantastic panelists, who seem pretty passionate about sanctuary cities (or in Starchild's case open borders and freedom of movement in general). Steve Frank (the panelist opposed to sanctuary cities) is well known in the conservative community, and fearless in telling things the way he sees them. Sanctuary cities is a subject that needs to be discussed, because judging by the general public's comments on the LPSF Facebook Page it's either "throw them all out" or "we should not even be discussing the con side." How can problems be solved without civil discourse? Hopefully LPSF will contribute to the discourse and the solution to the current divide.

The LPSF 4th Annual Panel Discussion will be on June 11, 2017, 1:30 - 3:30 pm, S.F. Main Library, Latino/Hispanic Community Meeting Room, 100 Larkin St, San Francisco.

Please tell your friends.

Regards,

Marcy
