[lpradicals] Call the Presidential Debate Commission today!!!

Any candidate who has managed to overcome ballot access laws to be on the
ballot in states with sufficient electoral votes to win should be on the ballot. Possibly the
standards could be even lower.

Bob Barr for president. Vote Libertarian.

Commission today!!!

I called, but the mailbox was full and not accepting messages.
However, I poked around a little bit, and found a working extension,
118, for a "Michael Brewer" sounded like the name was. His outgoing
message also gives his cell phone number, which is (202) 352-7895.
8) Please forward this around.

I left a message asking that not just Barr but all the major
alternative party candidates be included in the debates -- Ralph
Nader, Chuck Baldwin, and Cynthia McKinney. I encourage you to do the
same. It's only right and fair that every nationally organized
party's candidate be allowed to participate, and if we (the
alternative parties) work together on this basic issue of electoral
fairness and demand that all four be allowed in, I think we will have
a much stronger impact.

Love & Liberty,
((( starchild )))

Correction: That should have read "Any candidate ... should be included in the debate."

Commission today!!!

Further to last week's thread (pasted below) on including Barr and
other third party candidates in the upcoming Presidential debates:

Jim Dorenkott, a local Nader-supporter who has worked with SFLP
members on recent peace protests, is organizing an action this
Thursday, September 4th in front of MySpace's office at 625 Second
Street (near Brannan) to highlight this issue. This is being timed
to coincide with a similar protest at the Republican National
Convention in St. Paul.

MySpace is collaborating with the COMMISSION ON PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES
(CPD) by creating an on-line add-on to the televised debates (see
http://www.myspace.com/mydebates for more information). Educating
MySpace employees would thus be a useful activity. Maybe the on-line
debate could accommodate third party candidates even if the televised
debate won't.

Jim is trying to get Libertarian support for this action. I hope we
can get involved. If anyone on the list wants to contact Jim
directly, his e-mail address is: jimdorenkott@....
