This is why education alone is hopeless. It goes to the grave.
Not only have we lost James, we lost Nevada, until someone else can fill his shoes.
I had many hours of conversation with James, to learn only a tiny fraction of what he knew. This news came as a sickening shock, even though it was inevitable.

Friends:
I am saddened to report the passing of a great friend of
liberty, James Libertarian Burns, one of the founders of the
Nevada Libertarian Party and a terrific spokesman for freedom
for the last forty years.
Attached is an interview I did of Jim and Alden Link on January 29, 2008 who were candidates for President.

Jim also visited us in 2012 at the Manhattan LP in wig and full
regalia as he read Patrick Henry's famous "Give Me Liberty or
Give Me Death" speech.
