Good for you for speaking out to make sure this procedural stuff is done right, and thanks for keeping me in the loop.
One of the Bylaw Committee proposals was to scrap the party Program. The party hasn't been using it, and I'm not sure it's really needed. That would eliminate the need for a Program Committee.
But if we're going to have such a committee, it ought to be active, and operate transparently, accountably, and with an open door to members to participate in its deliberations. I would suggest asking prospective committee members not just what they'd like to accomplish, but what they will do to ensure transparency, accountability, and participation.
