Lorenzino comments & questions 4/10/14

Yes. I am an enrolled Democrat now. I am running against Jose Serrano
considered one of the most far left Congressmen.

I filed over 2500 signatures yesterday, double the minimum required.

Serrano wants to repeal the 22th Amendment so that Obama will become
President for Life.

I am a Muslim. I just returned from a month in Pakistan last week.

I do not know if I should advertise this as there is bound to be a
backlash. If elected I will become the first Muslim to be elected to
Congress.

As you know my my real inclinations are Libertarian. I want to legalize
marijuana etc. I do not know how far I should advertise this.

Serrano is virtually a Communist. He supported Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. He
is classified as an "Extreme Far Left Democrat". His seat has been
considered secure for Obama-crats. It will be a real revolution if he is
defeated.

I was recruited to run by a Puerto Rican activist who opposes Serrano

Here is what The Bronx Times said last week about Serrano.

Looks like the Bronx Democratic Party has left South Bronx Congressman*
Jose Serrano* on his own this time around to gather nominating petitions
for the June 24 congressional primary.

Not that he faces any serious challenges since Soundview Councilwoman *Annabel
Palma* decided not to go after his seat.

Jose has been feeling the chill from the party, starting big time from
Borough Prez *Ruben Diaz Jr.* after he quashed $3.5 million in city funding
for FreshDirect's proposed move from Queens into his district, as well as
trying to slice federal Empowerment Zone funding to Ruben's economic arm,
the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corp.

"He's been an absentee congressman, and the elected officials are
collectively making their point to him," said a party insider.

Serrano did not respond for comment as of print deadline.
