LNC Meeting Report

Marcy,

As a county LP officer, you are entitled under LPC Bylaw 11, Section 6, to receive a summary of the results of each LPC ExCom meeting from the LPC Secretary within 10 days of the meeting. It is my suspicion that this requirement is not currently being met. If you'd like to assert your rights, LPC Secretary Dan Wiener can be reached at <wiener@alum.mit.edu>.

Personally I am very interested in seeing which LPC ExCom members voted to more than double the state dues rather than leaving such a massive change to be voted on by the membership at the next convention. I say raising the state dues to $50 *more* than doubles them because the current $25 dues are split between the state and national parties, while none of the new $50 dues rate would go to national under the "zero dues" plan passed by national.

I hope this move was not accomplished by another secret ballot, but given the present state of the state leadership, such an elitist action wouldn't surprise me.

Yours in liberty,

Starchild,

Thanks for your encouragement. When the 10 days are up, I will
inquire if we have not received an official report. I believe the CA
ExCom meeting took palce August 20.

Marcy
