Liberty Pledge

THE LIBERTY PLEDGE

"I, (candidate's name), pledge to the residents
of my district, that as their elected
representative I will work to: restore liberty,
not restrict it; shrink government, not expand it;
reduce taxes, not raise them; abolish programs,
not create them; and promote the freedom and
independence of citizens, not the interference
of government in their lives."

Today my cleaning lady
is here. Working for
Renata and I was the
first dollar she earned
in America after fleeing
Bosnia in 1995. The
point for this board is that a career
politician would make sure that every
regulatory dot was crossed even with the
most casual economic relationship. Fear
of
crossing government rules that are
otherwise universally flaunted limits the
field to the slimey pros or total losers
who
have nothing to lose in general.

I also learned yesterday how difficult it
is
to talk with conviction to a camera.
After
my performance yesterday at ktvu, I have
sympathy for GWB when it comes to his
deer in the headlights look.I had to talk
extemporaniously because I could read the
prompter but I was nervous about the
time. I got a few ideas out there, but
all in
all it was another learning experience.
I
also have to say that doing a second or
third take when you are speaking from the
heart is difficult. This is more a job
for
actors.
