Was just reading this article about the Toxo parasite –

The part about personality traits of the infected being 'dismissive of authority' made me think of Toxo as the primary influence behind the libertarian movement. Basically the opposite of the classic Star Trek episode 'This side of paradise' where spores make everyone passive and blissfully content.
