A friends son is in the SF magnet school for the arts. He has a very
good broadcast quality camera and mike. We have started working and
filming together. We went to the meadows over GG bridge and recorded a
bit in front of the historic market for an an1870s gun emplacement. We
frlmed and I read the marker where it saysthat 16 guns were planned
for the implacement, but only five were ever placebecause of LACK OF
FUNDS. Imagine that world. I ask the viewers how we went froma world
where the US government didn't have enough funds to finish an
important strategic project protecting the major port on teh west
coast, to making war half way around the world without a declaration
by congress.. We took the nineteenth avenue bus and the n judah with
a few comment s about muni for a a teaser about future shows.We got
some great artistic shots at the federal reserve building, so,e
serious standup talk, and some silly overacting of me stamping on the
closed fromt doors, screaming and kicking that Alan Greenspan has to
see me because he has to stop printing money, and why doesn't he
return my calls. ala the Mogambo Gura. A little walk to North Beach to
show the quarry where the ballast was dug for the empty ships
departing SF after leaving off goldrush supplies. This ledto a small
discussion of how gold balance trade that will followed up with a shot
in Levi Strusses privatly owned public garden to tie the connection
between trade inbalance in eighteen fourty nine and today. Next will
be a tie in with the Ghandi statue. Also a few shots of Wells gargo,
Bank of America, making withdrawals and deposits and citi bank.
Unfortunately he got mugged last night in gg park by friends of
friends of friends. This to me has a little tie in to the sf minimum
wage, and unfortunately some social issues, like no boy scout trooops
, or other outlets for most kids. So sad. I woould be active in Scouts
but they don't take my kind anymore. It's a real losss for me and the
kids.
