June Ballot Recommendations

The Libertarian Party of San Francisco considered and voted on
recommendations for the June 6, 2006, Primary Election at our regular
May meeting.

The LPSF heartily and unanimously endorses Philip Z. Berg for the U.S.
House of Representatives, in the 8th Congressional District.

The LPSF also unanimously recommends a vote of NO on local measures A, B, and C.

The Libertarian Party of California recommends a vote of NO on state
propositions 81 and 82.

Sincerely,
Justin T. Sampson
LPSF Chair

Thank you, Justin.

Was there any recommendation on Proposition D?

Yours,
DRJ

I am circulating a petition to be a write-in candidate
for House CD12. I still need more signatures and as
many write-in votes as I can get in the June primary.
In 2004 I was the nominated candidate for this seat.

The LPSM has endorsed me. It would be an honor to
earn the endorsement of the LPSF. What can I do to
merit your support?

Hey everybody, I
completely forgot to get an
absentee ballot before I
left, so please please,
some of you registered
libertarians in the eigth
district, please vote on
June 6 or it will be very
embarrasing. Also it is
important you vote so the
dems don't pull any fast
ones in our primary. having
a great time in Tel Aviv.
Everyone is warm, friendly,
and extremely welcoming.
the beach and all the
streets are immaculate.
with no visible homeless
and no smell of urine
anywhere, and no shopping
carts laden with cans and
bottles. Last night there
was a terrific fireworks
display courtesy of the
french government. Tens
of thousands of families
were on the beach. Little
kids reveling in the sand,
and when it was all over
there was no cleanup
crews and the beach was
immaculate. Buses run
regularly and if you want to
pay a little more, so do
jitneys. run the same
routes even more
frequently with longer
hours.
No wonder they don't want
to give this place up. they
got it pretty good here. Just
observing what I see, and
absent any political or
idealogcal lenses, just
drinking beer on the beach,
people watching, eating
well, and just hanging out,
at least for the first few
days.

Hi Harland,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I believe our bylaws
do allow the LPSF Executive Committee to endorse candidates based
on a unanimous vote. I'll follow up with them.

Cheers,
Justin

No, the LPSF is not making a recommendation on D. There was general
unease about it, which I hope others will discuss on this list. The
actual vote was 0 'recommend yes', 1 'recommend no', 4 'don't make a
recommendation', and 1 abstention.

Cheers,
Justin
