Hi All! I am heading down to Santa Clara on Saturday to help out at the semi-annual JSA Convention where Lawrence Samuels from Monterey County always has an LP table. It's a fun event talking with the young folks who attend the convention--for a change, folks who are actually interested in politics. I will leave around noon. Marcy is joining me, and I can take a few others in my car. We go out for Libertarian Pizza after the event is over. Please let me know if you would like to come.
Also thanks for Francoise for donating the cost of a new fancy button-making machine to the LPSF for tabling and other outreach events. Thanks Francoise!!!
Thanks!
Aubrey
I second the huge thank you to Francoise. The little plastic machine I had broke, so Francoise donated a beautiful solid steel one that is extremely easy to use, almost no pressure needed.
Lawrence brings a ton of buttons, but I will see if I have time to make a few specific to San Francisco, with our www.LPSF.org as part of the decoration. Aubrey, you are bringing the easel, right? Last time the crowd around Lawrence's easel I think discouraged some.
Marcy
Hi Aubrey,
I'd like to join you too. As you say, these things are always great. I'm going to try to help out at the Golden Gate Liberty r3VOLution/Seasteading Institute booth at the New Living Expo event Saturday afternoon too if we make it back in time, but on consideration I think the JSA thing is a better outreach opportunity and more important to prioritize.
Glad to hear from Marcy that the new button machine from Francoise seems to be working well. Unless you've come up with a really attractive design though, I would suggest maybe putting stickers with the LPSF info on the back of the buttons rather than trying to feature our website on the front. Few of the high schoolers attending this JSA event are from SF, and of those few who are, few of those would probably be interested in something promoting somebody's website, unless again you manage to come up with a really cool design.

Hi Starchild! Glad you will be joining us, and please be ready at noon. I'll figure out the milk run tomorrow morning. You can forget helping out at the New Living Expo, because by the time we finish the Libertarian Pizza and drive back to The City, it will definitely be evening. I'll return your End The Fed sign, which I've had in my basement since Tax Day.
Thanks!
Aubrey
Perhaps we could also elevate the easel a bit by placing it on top of something (or just lengthening the legs if they aren't fully extended at normal height), so it is more visible?
