John Dennis / Dan Ellsberg / Karel Speak Out on Afghanistan 10/6 - 6pm

Anti-War Perspectives from the Left and Right

On October 7, 2001, US military aircraft began bombing Kabul. Nine years
later, the war continues with over 1200 American soldiers and thousands of
Afghan and Pakistani civilians dead.

Let us join together in protest against this unending war and to mourn its
victims.

Our speakers who differ on many issues, but who are united in opposition to
this unjust and unjustified war include:

. Karel, Green 960 AM Radio Talk Show Host

. John Dennis, Republican Candidate, 8th Cong. District

. Michael Eisenscher, US Labor Against the War

. Daniel Ellsberg, Author and Activist

. Angela Keaton, Antiwar.com

Hi Marc,

I see this event is coming along! Good for you. I wanted to make a suggestion -- namely, that you rephrase "Anti-War Perspectives from the Left and Right" to include libertarians. You might say "Anti-War Perspectives from Liberals, Libertarians, and Conservatives", or "Left, Right and Libertarian Anti-War Unity" or something. It's important to let people know that libertarians are not leftists or conservatives!

Technically speaking, I expect your speakers will be speaking out against U.S. government involvement in war, rather than against war itself (a truly anti-war approach would tend to condemn the Taliban insurgents just as strongly as the U.S. government for continuing ton engage in armed conflict in Afghanistan), but I understand that not referring to the event as "anti-war" would probably confuse much of your audience.

Love & Liberty,
