Interviewing candidates

  Thanks for the suggestions. I agree that the Non-Aggression Principle should be a focus in our discussions with candidates, but due to widespread lack of understanding of the principle and what constitutes aggression, I don't think the questions you suggest would be very effective as phrased. Also, "initiation of aggression" is redundant, as aggression is initiation by definition – that's what makes it aggression, as opposed to the defensive use of force or coercion.

  There's lots of room for discussion on what would be good questions, but one I like is something along the lines of, "What are you doing to reduce the size, cost, scope, or power of government and its burden on people's lives?" Another goes something like, "Under what circumstances, if any, do you think it is acceptable for government to initiate force against members of the public who are not harming others?"
