In the Contra Costa Times

It's great to see the media put the Dems and Reps at the same elite immoral table. Gotta love the Bush buttons.

Interesting. I had never before seen Rand Paul in an editorial cartoon.

I posted new California voter registration data today at www.ballot-access.org. The Libertarian Party has more registered voters in California than at ever before in its history. And statewide we are only 3,300 fewer than Greens.

The only parties that gained registrations between Oct. 2012 and now, in California, are Libertarian and Americans Elect. Fewer people are registered now than in October 2012, so all the other parties lost registered members, due to purges of the voter rolls.

Richard,
What do you think of the idea of pitching the end of the RP to the Bay Area Republicans?

I'd say that most are not neo-cons and would jump at the opportunity to join the anti-war Democrats in a new franchise, if the issues were liberty and money.

I like that idea.

I think the reason we are gaining registrations (without the party going out and having a registration drive) is that more and more people are leaving the Republican Party.

John,

I have a friend on the Central Committee of the Santa Rosa Republicans. He's a Ron Paul Republican and judging by his feedback most are not neo-cons either. If you're interested in contacting him, let me know.

Warm regards, Michael

I'm still a registered Republican, but when was the last candidate that made sense to vote for since RR? The Governator with Issa/SoCal. Otherwise it has been 30 years of Torries, loosers, and sabotage.

The more I think about it the more outraged I get. They have given "imperious scumbags" all new meaning and I lust for the day I can read about their demise.

Yes thanks. Let's start the conversation.

Yeh...excellent! We spoke last week before he went to the convention. I think he might be cool to the idea of sinking the franchise, even if interested in the results. I can work with that, but it is a different strategy to reform the franchise, requiring a different team to stay focused. It's more like football, where two teams compete to pack the stadium.

It would be fine if the contest is about whether the franchise sinks or is COMPLETELY reformed. With either outcome we go to the bank when we are positioned.
