I heard today that a group of top women soccer players have sued FIFA over having to play on artificial turf. They claim not only the turf poses "safety risks," but also represents discrimination, since men soccer players do not have to play on the stuff.
LPSF has recommended a YES vote on Proposition H "Requiring Certain Golden Gate Park Athletic Fields to be Kept as Grass With no Artificial Lighting." Good opportunity for letters to editors, posts, etc. promoting LPSF and its position on Prop. H.
