Gary Johnson postcards arrived today / Google tabling tomorrow

My Vistaprint order arrived today with the Gary Johnson postcards we purchased (see details below). I ended up ordering 1500 of them instead of the 1000 that I initially planned to buy, because the initial amount was around $88 plus tax/shipping, but then they offered another 500 for only an additional $20 or so. I will cover the balance of what it cost above the $100 we budgeted. As you can see I was able to get a bunch of other additional Gary Johnson/libertarian items in mainly smaller quantities at little or no cost (the site is really a good deal if you avail yourself of the free offers).

Please let me know if you'd like to come by my place (16th and Sanchez) and pick up some postcards for distribution, or try to arrange to meet me somewhere else.

Aubrey and Les, I think I may let you guys handle the Google tabling tomorrow -- I didn't get much sleep last night and am up late again. Unless one of you have other plans or really think I should be there for some reason, it seems kind of superfluous for all three of us to attend, given the amount of traffic we saw today and since the materials are already all down there.

Love & Liberty,

Is the Google tabling in SF? If so, when and where? I have a noon meeting in the Richmond district but will help out if needed and possible.

Remember....big Giant's parade tomorrow.

Hi Mike! The tabling was on Monday and Tuesday mornings at Google on Spear Street. Les, Starchild, and I were there on Monday, and Les and I were there yesterday. We did not get an overwhelming reception, but we did give out some literature and managed to get one lady (who scored 100 and 100 on the quiz) to change her registration to Libertarian. Though one of the Google ladies told me that there are lots of Libertarians at Google, we didn't get that impression. Like the general public, most of the employees appeared not to be interested in the election, and too many told us that they had already voted for us to believe them. Perhaps they didn't like the company pushing politics in their face at work when they already get bombarded with it everywhere leading up to the election. My boss's explanation for the poor interest was that software folks work late, so if you hit them up with something heavy first thing in the morning when they're
going for breakfast, they're too groggy to be interested in politics--she thought a tabling at lunch would have evoked a better response. Who knows--we go out there and try to spread the message as much as possible and take our lumps if we didn't reach as many as we hoped--and then move on to the next opportunity.

Thanks for offering to help out!
Aubrey
