Subject: San Francisco County Volunteers and Contacts from the Jo Jorgensen Campaign
Hi Starchild! Here's a copy of the latest list of Jo Jorgensen campaign contacts from San Francisco County:
[Google Drive URL excerpted]
Please treat this personal data as confidential – it should only be shared with people who have a legitimate reason to use it for Libertarian Party business. Note that the privacy statement for the Jo20 campaign included provisions that allow this information to be shared with the Libertarian Party, so if anyone asks you can let them know that’s how you got their contact information (and of course please remove them from your contact list if asked).
Here are a few notes about the data included here:
First, note that there’s a significant difference between campaign VOLUNTEERS and campaign CONTACTS. We didn’t do a particularly good job of tracking the source of contacts, so general contacts could have come from a visit to the jo20.com website, or from a Facebook survey, or from any one of a variety of other sources. Contacts were probably, but not certainly supporters of Jo Jorgensen during the election. However all volunteers filled out a volunteer sign-up form at some point. You can identify volunteers by the “Volunteer Signup” column.
We've also cross-referenced this data with information we already have about LP members and registered Libertarians, and removed people who "Unsubscribed" from emails. If we found someone's email address in our list of existing LP National members, California LP members, or Registered Libertarians in California, we added that information to the spreadsheet. But many people who are members or registered libertarians didn't match up - maybe just because they didn't share the same email address with everyone. So keep that in mind.
The campaign strived to be diligent with the “Unsubscribed from Email” and “Opt Out of Fundraising” fields. While they didn’t unsubscribe from these things specifically related to the LP, we're still treading carefully with people who requested to not receive email / fundraising requests. We plan to send one email to these people from the CA LP to invite them to "Opt In". The only people who unsubscribed from email that we shared with you are people who also volunteered – we expect they’re probably still interested in helping but got fed up with the volume of emails sent. About 15% of our total contacts unsubscribed from emails.
There’s significantly more data for Volunteers than we have for Contacts, including:
“How Can You Help” and more specific details about their skills for some of the volunteers
Party affiliation might give you some hints about how to get them interested in joining the LP – or at least attending a meeting.
Having a speaker on the National Debt or Second Amendment Rights? Invite the Republicans
Having a speaker on Police Reform or Ending Overseas Wars? Invite the Democrats
There are some portions of surveys in this data. They’re not complete, you might be able to get these at some point.
Consider the “Preferred contact method” for volunteers where available
One of the biggest goals of this year’s presidential campaign was to grow our base. Thanks for helping reach out to these people! We’re also planning a text drive to connect with Libertarians all across the state - do you have some volunteers who can help? And please let me know if you have any questions about this list.
Best regards,
Kevin Moore
