FW: Proposed San Francisco Initiative: "Home Safety Protection Act"

Dear Mike and David;

In San Francisco there is a process an applicant has to go through to get a CDW permit which ultimately ends up with Sheriff Mike Hennessy approving it only after the person applying for it has shown conclusive proof they have a definite need to carry a CDW.

This has included some active criminal court judges - a retired police officer who made a lot of real good friends in the criminal underworld - jewelry salesmen - and few politically connected upper crust well to do swells.

Therefore, the number of CDW permits in SF are very few and far between. Like maybe a couple dozen. Seriously!!

It is actually EASIER getting a State of California CDW permit.

Good old liberal SF don't make it easy at all. AND Sheriff MIke Hennessey who has the authority through CAlifornia State legislation to issue CDW's isn't going to budge.

Therefore, I did not include the CDW permit with the Home Portection Safety Act.

I personally believe anyone who isn't a convicted felon should be allowed to CDW. As far as convicted felons go they can carry anytime they want to - what do they care about CDW permits!!!!!
