Marcy,
Offhand I don't recollect knowing Christopher, but last time around I
think the LPSF was somewhat burned by Tony Hall. My perception was
that Tony led us to believe he was fairly libertarian, but that after
he got elected, he generally acted as a conservative. During the time
he was in office, I'm not aware that he ever sought input from us on
any policy issue, appointed any libertarians, or did anything to
advance the libertarian movement other than being fiscally
conservative (by SF standards).
However, I'm open to being proved wrong. I would like to see, either
from Tony himself or from Christopher or someone else with his
campaign, a detailed analysis of Tony's tenure as a member of the
Board of Supervisors with an emphasis on his voting record -- how he
voted on civil liberties / personal freedom issues, what he championed
and accomplished from a libertarian perspective.
Love & Liberty,
((( starchild )))
