John C. Bonifaz, Boston attorney and author of Warrior-King: The Case for Impeaching George W. Bush (NationBooks-NY, January 2004, foreword by Rep. John Conyers, Jr.), and Eva J. Paterson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Society and former director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law for the San Francisco Bay Area, will speak and answer questions at a public forum on the impeachment question on Tuesday night, April 13th at 7:00 pm at the New College Theater, 777 Valencia Street, in San Francisco.

The forum is entitled "The Iraq War and The Constitution: Has President George W. Bush Committed Impeachable Offenses?" and will be moderated by Tobias Barrington Wolff, Visiting Professor of Law, Stanford Law School and Assistant Professor of Law, UC Davis Law School.

In February and March 2003, Mr. Bonifaz served as lead counsel for a coalition of US soldiers, parents of US soldiers, and Members of Congress (led by Representatives Conyers and Kucinich) in a federal lawsuit challenging the authority of President Bush and Secretary Rumsfeld to launch a war against Iraq absent a congressional declaration of war or equivalent action. His book, Warrior-King: The Case for Impeaching George W. Bush (NationBooks-NY, January 2004, foreword by Rep. John Conyers, Jr.), is accounting of that case and its meaning for the United States Constitution.

Mr. Bonifaz is a 1999 recipient of a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship and a 1992 graduate of Harvard Law School. For further information on Warrior-King, including a video interview of Mr. Bonifaz, see www.ireadnet.com.

Dear Michae and Everyone Else;

After reading the proposed Articles of Impeachment the attempt appears to be a big joke. The Articles of Impeachment are way to broad. It tries to impeach Bush - Cheney - Rumsfield - Ashcroft all at the same time.

Each may be individually guilty of various high crimes and misdemeanors. Trying to prove this in a free for all session isn't going to happen. The House Judiciary Committee is not going to come close to having any hearings of any kind now or in the near future on any impeachment proceedings. And try to imagine getting the House to report out Articles of Impeachment on all 4 all at the same time? Let me see that's 21 Republicans versus 17 Democrats. It isn't going to happen. And it's an election year to boot.

See Page 17 and 18 of the PDF file impeachment kit for the Articles Of Impeachment.

For any success. The group backing this needs to focus - focus - focus. Pick one individual as the most likely suspect. Concentrate on that one for an impeachment process screw everyone else. I recommend starting with Bush - because as Truman once said " The Buck Stops Here". Although Bush doesn't have the faintest idea of what the heck that means. Start with Bush concentrate on Bush focus on Bush. Afterall, he is only a sprig or is it a twig or is it a shrub.

I can hardly wait to hear the results of the Bush/Cheney joint 9/11 Commission hearing. WIll it be like the old Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy ventriloquist act? With Cheny as the mouthpiece and Bush as the dummy?
