Are you suggesting I make more complex proposals when you dismiss the most simple proposal under the premise that you don't understand how it would work?

Things grow in several dimensions at once. Communication is one dimension and when communication can't grow, neither can any other dimension.
The confirmation density of voice communication is a quanrum more than type.

I think we're suggesting you stop with the negativity and do something constructive! You want to talk with someone on the phone? Call them. You want to meet face to face with someone? Arrange a meeting.
I can understand if people don't have time, but you seem to have plenty of time to type emails complaining that not enough is being done. What else are you doing? Take the action you want us to take, so we can see what you're talking about, otherwise you're not helping.
In my humble opinion, of course -- others mileage may vary.
