February/March Meeting Minutes [2 Attachments]

All,

Please forgive my tardiness in submitting these, but attached are the LPSF minutes for February/March. I’ll be more prompt about this for this coming meeting, since I now have internet access at home again.

- Matt

Thanks, Matt. I'm well aware what a pain it is to not have a working Internet connection, glad you got that resolved. By the way, did you happen to see the email I sent you about the LPC office not having a pledge form on file for you? I listed a bunch of other folks in that message whose names Aubrey and I also submitted as potential delegates to the national convention. One of our regulars I just realized I forgot was Francoise -- sorry Francoise, no oversight intended. But any members interested in going to Columbus as a delegate should still be able to do so without difficulty as there are plenty of open slots for California, I just always try to "grease the wheels" by submitting names in advance of activists not present who I think might want to go. Arrgh, and now I see it's after 3pm and I need to get going to the meeting!

Love & Liberty,

Hi Matt,

Thank you for the Minutes. I have posted them on the LPSF website.

Marcy

Hi Marcy, Matt, and Starchild! Thanks, Matt, for the minutes. Your minutes are pithy and to the point. I did notice one error, but since they're posted already, we'll just leave them as is, but I would like it noted that the balance listed in the March minutes as $2,176.96 - 400.00 (estimated for Pride) is incorrect. That is my fault since I tend to turn in the expenses for reimbursement months after I incur them, which causes confusion on where we stand with our finances. The figure should have been $2,576.96 - 400.00 estimated for Pride, which would leave us with the reported balance of $2,176.96. As discussed in yesterday's meeting, I am also opposed to letting our balance drop below $2,000.00 at any time. Anyway, we'll have "Magnus Mangus" back with us next month with a better handle on our finances.

Thanks!
Aubrey

Hi Aubrey,

No problem correcting something important. I will do it ASAP (before Google crawlers index the webpage!)

Marcy

Hi Aubrey,

I have corrected the bank balance on the website. Thanks for catching this. What I wrote was: Bank balance $2,576.96. Of this, $400 in expenses is expected for Pride. I think the confusion arises because the balance in the bank is the balance in the bank, regardless of what we intend to spend later. So maybe we should report the balance as is, and if there are any expenses we know for a fact are coming up (such as Pride), we mention those as earmarks on the bank balance.

I have sent the invitations to the Yahoo lists for the people who requested them at our meeting (2 people) and at the symposium (1 person). I will scan them to you in the next day or so. Maybe you can be more successful at reading Bonnie and Mickey's email addresses. The separate note I wrote to Bonnie bounced, so I am assuming the Yahoo invitation will also.

I have posted a "review" of the symposium on the LPSF website -- all good and positive! As always, if you have a chance to read it, please let me know of spellings or un-Libertarian expressions.

Marcy

Hi Marcy! Thanks for taking care of business, as always. You never goof off--you put us all to shame! I found another information sheet in my papers tonight, and I thought I gave it to you after the meeting yesterday but maybe not. It's for someone I met at the gun show yesterday. I'll scan it at work tomorrow and send it to you, but if you already have it, then please just disregard.

I read your write-up on today's Tax Day event. It was right on target and I didn't see anything to complain about. Thanks for keeping our website timely, fresh, and interesting.

Thanks!
Aubrey

Hi Aubrey,
Got the scan, and sent invitation to Rodney for the Announce List. I sent you scans of the ones we got at the meeting and at the Tax Day event.
