Please bear with me, since I am still trying to make the Facebook idea work for LPSF before I give up (if I sound grumpy, I am!!). I noticed that the Christian Right has figured how to game the system and are committed enough to follow through; same with the Objectivists. With the new Facebook system, success depends strictly on working in unison. I would wager that News Feed mode is the default with most, and your post will only show on News Feed if your cohorts click "Like" or post a comment (I do not fall for believing posts are so interesting that "strangers" will shower you with comments and Likes; but maybe I am wrong).
So, the more cohorts you have willing to comment and click "Like", the more of a chance you have of appearing on the News Feed.
