"Don't Ask Don't Tell" on the ropes with release of new Pentagon study that says repeal wouldn't hurt

Congress should be encouraged to act now during the "lame duck" session, because repealing DADT will no doubt be more difficult once the new Republican majority in the House takes office. Which is of course why some GOP members are trying to stall.

I loved this statement by Gen. Conway, which the NYT reported without
acknowledging any irony:

This summer, when the Marine commandant at the time, Gen. James T.
Conway, was asked for an explanation about Marine resistance to repeal,
he responded that it was difficult to answer, but "we recruit a certain
type of young American, a pretty macho guy or gal."
