I thought Ross Mirkarimi was running unopposed in District 5, but I admit I haven't been paying too much attention. Anyway, I guess the Parks group has something calendared. The District 9 race is certainly contested. These forums are a good opportunity to shape debate in races for public office and to raise pro-freedom points of view by asking questions that might otherwise get overlooked.
I trust this will not be considered off-topic on those lists that choose to restrict topics of conversation, because local elections have the potential to affect all issues, and all issues may be raised at these forums.
