Cannabis Expo and New Initiative

Hi Aubrey,

A new LPSF Facebook Friend, Soror Law, posted about the upcoming Cannabis Expo to kick off the promotion of a new initiative to be on a 2014 ballot. 750,000 signatures are needed. Soror wants to communicate with you to see what the LPSF can do to help, so I suggested e-mailing you at your LPSF Chair e-mail address.

The Expo is on September 7 10am - 9pm
Civic Center Plaza

The initiative can be seen on:

I briefly looked over the initiative (it is very long!), and it deals not only with "medical" cannabis, but apparently recreational also; also it deals with hemp products. I lost interest when I felt (I might be incorrect, so please double check) that the initiative called for prohibition of testing for inactive residue for jobs (if I want to test for residue for a job I am offering, I want to test; don't want to get tested, don't apply). Also, it appears the initiative calls for no licensing or taxation on cultivation or sale; although it speaks of excise tax. Anywho, am waiting for an initiative that simply treats hemp as beans or rice; any other approach puts me to sleep.
