Bay Area: Open Government 101
Saturday, November 12, 2005-10 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
Join us for these FREE workshops, hosted by Oakland City Attorney John
Russo. This event will take place at Oakland City Hall, 1 Frank Ogawa
Plaza, Oakland. These workshops will be led by state open government law
expert Terry Francke.

The first of these workshops is The Top 10 Things You Need to Know About
the Ralph M. Brown Act, which will give you the basic concepts and
skills you need if you regularly attend public meetings either as a
representative of an agency or a member of the public.

The second workshop is a combination of The Top 10 Things You Need to
Know About Making CPRA Requests as well as The Top 10 Things You Need to
Know About Exemptions from the CPRA. This workshop will provide more
confidence for both the agency as well as the public to better handle
public records act requests.

Course completion certificates for each workshop are available and can
be purchased for $2.50 each at the door. Please indicate the number of
certificates you will be ordering when your register.

Three hours of MCLE is available for these workshops for just $37.50 per
