Hi All! Here is the agenda for this Saturday's meeting:
Libertarian Party of San Francisco Agenda: Saturday, August 11, 2012
Meeting Location: SF
Main Library – 4th Floor Conference Room
1. Welcome – Introductions 3:05
2. Activist Reports – Past & Future 3:10
3. Announcements 3:20
4. Treasurer’s Report 3:25
5. Ballot Measure Arguments for November Election 3:30
We will be working mostly on our ballot arguments for the next election. The Mayor and Board of Supervisors threw in a few last minute measures. This is our time to shine and get our message out to folks who never really hear what we're all about. I want to be sure that we are well-represented in the Voters Handbook again during this election cycle. So far, we are doing better than last year in the "Help Wanted" department, but we could always use more help in writing these arguments (most, if not all, will be arguments against the measures). Please pitch in if you can. Will update which measures still need someone to write an argument against/for in a day or so. All who offered to write arguments (so far)--please bring your rough drafts on Saturday.
Also attaching an update that I received from the Department of Elections today. Only the Water Sustainability/Environmental Restoration measure was pre-empted, so we stand a chance to win the free argument lottery on all the other measures.
Thanks!
Aubrey
