Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth

Dear Everyone;

I am forwarding this because the architects and engineers of this group are asking questions which do need to be answered about what really happened at WTC. One of the more interesting ones asked is:

The interesting fact is that each of these 110-story Twin Towers fell upon itself in about ten seconds at nearly free-fall speed. This violates Newton ’s Law of Conservation of Momentum that would require that as the stationary inertia of each floor is overcome by being hit, the mass (weight) increases and the free-fall speed decreases.

Even if Newton ’s Law is ignored, the prevailing theory would have us believe that each of the Twin Towers inexplicably collapsed upon itself crushing all 287 massive columns on each floor while maintaining a free-fall speed as if the 100,000, or more, tons of supporting structural-steel framework underneath didn’t exist.

In college as part of my overall course requirements I took some basic structural engineering courses and what he says about the Newton's Law bears review.

Enjoy the controversy.

Did you notice that almost all of the people behind that website are
from the SF Bay Area? Strange. Pelosi must have been in on it. :wink:

Anyway, the best site I've found to debunk these "truth" websites is
Popular Mechanics:

It's in plain English without jargon, and it hits just about every
point the "truth" people have brought up.

Sorry, this begs for an ad hominem reply. When Chris referred us to this article when it first appeared, I went to it eagerly, to get the explanations for all the 9/11 anomalies-and found it surprisingly unconvincing. Later someone pointed out that the author was a 25-year-old journalist who was the nephew of the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
