apologies on missing the party, plus a note

My greetings-

Apologies to missing the party at Bryce Bigwood's home; I soemhow got
my dates witched up and tried showing up on Dunday. Oops.

I intended to show up in the future.

On another nore, I've decided to rejoin the Party. For reason of
principle? Well, perhaps. I merely love that wonderful statue
you've chosen as the Party symbol.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Who knows their history? (grinning incessantly)
Fly by night!

Dear Jeanine,

We did miss you at Bryce's party, and are hoping you will be able to
make it to the Famous Libertarian Event The Semi-Annual Dinner
(Sunday October 10 at Tallula's 4230 18th Street 6:30 pm).

Also, I am so glad you decided to join the LPSF.

Regards,

Marcy
