Amusing recommendation from the "Progressive Voters Guide"

The "Progressive Voters Guide" recommended a vote for my opponent in a piece headlined "Re-elect State Assemblymember David Chiu to keep AD-17 on the right track":

Reading on however, I was amused to learn that "Chiu’s campaign has raised $882,528 and is funded by police money, fossil fuel money, and corporate PACs."

So much for progressive values, lol! I guess anything flies with PVG as long as you have a "D" next to your name.

Given that Progressives traditionally support things like Prohibition
and eugenics, and is presently defined as "a social or political
movement that aims to represent the interests of ordinary people through
.... government actions," I think they made the right recommendation!

Well yeah Jeff, there's always that way of looking at it. There are good reasons I don't call myself a progressive.

Nevertheless, according to many of the policy positions today's progressives typically identify with – opposing police abuse, U.S. government involvement in war, surveillance, prohibition, vagrancy laws, etc. – I think there's a good case to be made that I am more progressive than an establishment Democrat like David Chiu.

Locally, the influential left-leaning Harvey Milk Democratic Club declined to make an endorsement in the race, which seemed to me a more faithful adherence to what most grassroots voters probably see as the progressive agenda.

Anyway, I was mostly posting for folks to get some laughs out of the irony, as I did.
