Hi All. Here's the agenda for this Saturday. For the upcoming 4th Annual
Panel Discussion that we always have in April, I'm running behind rounding
up panelists on the subject of Sanctuary Cities. Surprisingly I did manage
to get Steve Frank for the opposing side, and he responded immediately and
has been very accommodating. For the pro-side, I did try Jeff Adachi,
whose media person finally responded that he was too busy. Then I asked
her to see if Matt Gonzalez was interested, and that was several days ago
and still no response. I'll give it another day or so and then invite
David Campos. It could be coincidence, but it seems like the pro-folks are
real interested in lining up for the media and showing support, but when it
comes to a serious discussion about all aspects of the issue, I don't see
the same enthusiasm. Or it could be that the LPSF is just not important
enough to warrant participation in our event. In any event, we can discuss
this more fully this Saturday. And for those who were working on the
change to a credit union, if you have additional information to add, please
update us at the meeting.
Nick, if you could please post the agenda to the website under "Meetings"
and also have a note under "Meetings" that our meetings are always on the
second Saturday of the month at the Main Branch of the Library near City
Hall and usually in the 4th Floor Meeting Room, that would be great.
