The initiative in Arizona for a top-two primary system lost by a margin of 2:1.
Abel Maldonado, father of California's top-two law, was defeated for Congress tonight in his first attempt to be elected to Congress.
Rob McKenna, the Washington state Attorney General who defended top-two in the US Supreme Court personally in 2007, and who is this year's Republican nominee for Governor, appears to have lost. This year he forced his own state party to omit itself from the cert petition asking the US Supreme Court to hear the top-two case again. If he hadn't done that, chances are the US Supreme Court would have taken the case.
