ACTION ITEM Re: [lpsf-discuss] Getting the LP back on track - what can be done

Starchild,

1. Smaller parties tend to be more homogeneous than larger ones.
2. The founders of the Boston Tea Party are more radical in their libertarianism than are the current leaders of the LP.

Best, Michael

Michael,

Similar observations could have been made about the LP when it was founded, vis-a-vis the Republicans and the Democrats. Any time you have a party of a dozen people, it is no doubt possible for three of them to get together and form a smaller organization that will sound a more unified radical note. But if they have no viable plan to remain radical and stay on the same page while increasing their numbers, then the new group will be no more likely to remain dedicated to their ideals than the organization they abandoned.
