61) Are we witnessing the rise of the Fourth Reich?

"There are many facets and aspects of the Third Reich which could and
should be analyzed. For the purpose of this column, however, I want to
focus on the attitude and actions of the ministers and churches of
Germany at the time of Hitler's rise. My focus upon the German church
is predicated upon the fact that as a Christian pastor (I have been
the pastor of an Independent Baptist Church for more than 30 years),
it is my studied opinion that any western nation will rise or fall
according to the attitudes and actions of its Christian leaders and
churches. Scripture says, Judgment must begin at the house of God.
Therefore, while any nation might survive corrupt politicians, greedy
merchants, and sinful citizens, it cannot survive cowardly,
compromising churches! As the churches go, so goes the country! In the
case of Nazi Germany, it was the German churches first and foremost
that failed their country. It was the churches that provided Hitler
with moral and spiritual cover. It was the ministers and churches that
allowed Hitler to seduce the nation. Some ministers were no doubt
deceived themselves. Many others, like Adam, partook of the forbidden
fruit with their eyes wide open. Either way, without the help and
assistance of Germany's churches, the Nazi Party could never have
become such a horrible leviathan." (02/07/06)

Dear Mike;

  The author of this article is a little off base as Hitler tried his bestest to stamp out the church and priests and pastors. Hitler wanted to be the figure head of it all literally and spiritually. The various denominations in Germany stood in Hitler's way of being God and were not supporters. Der Fuhrer wanted a Cult Personality socially and religiously surrounding his Godness.

  I do not know where this person got his account but churches were not very high on Hitlers list of bestest friends. The Nazi Germany version of the military-industrial complex sure were behind him.

Dear Mike;

  More Food For Thought on we may be headed for another 1,000 year Fourth Reich based on this news story about Bush's favorite contractor KBR which showed up in today's Bay Guardian.

  Former UC Berkeley prof Peter Dale Scott wrote about a recent contract awarded to KBR, the Halliburton subsidiary. On Jan. 24 the feds kicked down $385 million to KBR to build "temporary detention" facilities in the US to be used in the event of "an emergency influx of immigrants" or "a natural disaster," or if the feds create some "new programs." Creepy. Check Scott's piece at www.newamericamedia.org

  See this story on FEMA Concentration camps if you're a doubter. Of course these camps are for displaced peoples due to disasters and other such disasters - of course they are - uh right??? As soon as the Bushita Regime lets loose its Bushtapo.

  All's Bush is waiting for is another al-qaeda attack ( real or done by the Bushitas) on the US. Then he can declare martial law for the good of the country like Hitler did using the Reichstag Fire as his excuse.

In his writings and speeches, Hitler frequently used religion to justify his actions:

Dear Steve;

  As long as it related to deifying Hitler and creating the religious Hitler to the exclusion of all others - ie: Hitler as the "God" figurehead of the German Reich and all fall down before him on bended knee with bowed heads saying "Praise Be To Hitler " Der Fuhrer.

This is probably the best libertarian mainstream book
I can think of. He doesn't mention anything about
'libertarianism' though.

The first half of the book he examines why he thinks
the US is an empire in all but name. The second half
is more about economic bubble stuff, but not too heavy
on insider terminology. Their first book 'Financial
Reckoning Day' is a better economic review.

BTW - I did a ton of research on Fannie and Freddie
back in December and have been buying gold as fast as
I can ever since. I had thought we were years away
from the stuff that Phil has been talking about but
now I'm not so sure things will hold together through
the end of the year.

You mean like the Pope?

Dear Steve;

  No offense to Mike Denny but I do have to say yes of course... not trying to compare the Pope to Hitler of course.... like maybe Steve did inadvertently... by mistake of course ... of course....

  Just for the record when is anyone going to tell the true story of Pope Pius XII who was declared to be Hitler's Lapdog??? He was anything but - but you never hear those stories. Including hidding several hundred Jews in his summer palace to protect them from the Nazi Jew sweep through Italy including one Jewish woman who gave birth in the Popes bedroom!!

  P.S. There is a good article from Lew Rockwell on how mankind took to deifying men as religious figureheads and how it effected us all and why they did it. If I find it I'll post it - it is very good on this topic. It takes off from the people asking for a King and God after asking them do you really want a King??? Then granting them their wishes starting with King XXX ??? (David???)
