4 Bylaws proposals - Others online but not transparent to party members!

Here are my proposals for the 2015 Libertarian Party of California Bylaws Committee, of which I am one of the five members. I have labeled them as Proposals 9-12 (below in the body of this email, and attached as an MS Word document). There are another 18 proposals before the committee, numbered 1-8 and A-K -- four submitted by Brian Thiemer, four by Beau Cain (who is not on the committee), and ten by Kevin Duewel (there is no Proposal E for some reason).

If Brian (the committee chair who created the online site where the other proposals are posted) or someone else on the committee would please tell me how to upload the proposals below to the Google Drives folder where the others are posted, I will do that.

Unfortunately, that folder -- online at https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzSz2eHat7lkU0RBN2pwNThIXzA&usp=sharing_eid -- is apparently not currently accessible by persons not on the Bylaws Committee, and it is not even possible to copy and paste from the site.

I have made a motion on the committee to fix this problem by directing the chair to make the folder accessible to non-committee members, so that any interested Libertarians can view all the Bylaws proposals and give any feedback they may have. I would encourage people to urge the other committee members (to whom this message is addressed) to second and vote for my motion.

P.S. - Please note that you need to be viewing this email in rich text format in order to properly view my proposed changes below. Existing Bylaws text is shown in black, eliminations are in strike-thru, and additions are in red.

P.S. - The current Libertarian Party of California bylaws can be viewed at http://ca.lp.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Bylaws-2013-14-post-convention-130407-130506-bindable.pdf

The Libertarian Party convention at which any proposed bylaws changes will be voted on is happening May 31, in Las Vegas, Nevada*. If you are an LPC member, you are eligible to attend the convention as a delegate and vote on these proposals, along with electing new officers and other business, as well as hopefully some interesting speakers and a fun opportunity to meet other Libertarians, share experiences, and party!

*Why in Nevada? Ask LPC chair Kevin Takenaga <ktakenaga@...> -- this was not my decision!

According to Bylaws Committee chair Brian Thiemer, the Bylaws proposals currently online are now viewable at https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzSz2eHat7lkU0RBN2pwNThIXzA&usp=sharing_eid . (Thanks, Brian!)

We (the committee) are supposed to submit a report tonight, but I hope that it will be available for further input between now and the convention business session.
