Brian, I urge you to watch the Ron Paul at Google interview from a few days ago that i posted . At around 12;30 he gives a very sensible answer to tough questions about marriage. He also gives reasoned answers about don't ask don't tell, concluding that he would not enforce it as Commander and chief of the armed forces, thats at about 30:00 if I recall. Many of the questions he fielded from Google employees were from what seemed to be a gay friendly or feminist friendly slant. The way he answers these questions seems to this listener to mine values of individual liberty and responsibility to achieve a very reasonable result that could even be understood in the Red states. He is emphatically is for immigration once the welfare state is minimized. I do not think it fair to call him anti immigration. That is not what he says, and I don't think that is what he believes. He is not as pro immigration as you or I, but anti is too strong. The rascist charge is unfounded, except for how manny paragraphs ina career spanning how many decades. Who does not harbor some rascist thoughts from time to time,? F lee Bailey? I would be willing to bet that Mr. Paul harbors far fewer than almost any other elected official, or in fact most libertarians, or San Francisco Prrogressives.
