2004 Libertarian ticket "rave" flier

I've been thinking for a while now about creating an outreach piece that looks like a rave flier. Last night I actually sat down and put one together, and have posted it to the "Files" area of the LPSF-discuss Yahoo Group. (The whole posting files thing is actually a lot easier than I'd somehow originally gotten the impression it was, by the way -- you should give it a try if you're not already familiar with it. It's an easy way to put any photo or art you want on the web.)

  I'm not that good with Adobe Illustrator yet to be able to fix all the little stuff without spending a whole lot of time figuring it out, so the flier design is a bit rough. The quality also took a bit of a hit in converting to JPEG format; now when I try to re-export the file, I get an error message. If you're knowledgeable about converting Mac files, your assistance would be welcomed. Anyone who wants to take a stab at a revising the flier is also welcome to do so, but I'm also fairly happy with it as-is. Although I'd prefer it without the imperfections, they do give it a certain alternative charm.

  Anyway, we could get 5000 of these printed as 4"x6" glossy 2-sided, 4-color cards for $235 at RockBottomPrinting.com, and distribute them to all the various record stores, clothing stores, etc., where people pick up rave and dance party fliers. (See full pricing chart at http://www.rockbottomprinting.com/Pricing.html1.html.) Know of a better deal? Send it along.

  Those of you living elsewhere are free to copy my design and substitute the relevant contact info and local and/or state candidate names for your area on the flier. In fact if you send me the info, I'll do it for you and send you a custom version, since I know what font I used and everything. But please don't make me do the work unless you're actually planning to have a bunch of the things printed up!

Dear Starchild;

The JPG doesn't open for the Rave Flier. The other jpg's do open. So
it isn't my system.
